アルベルト・パリシ先生
Albert PARISI

Alberto Parisi is Special Project Assistant Professor at the Kobe Institute for Atmospheric Studies (KOIAS) of the Graduate School of Humanities of Kobe University, Japan, as well as a researcher at the Institute for Philosophical and Religious Studies of the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS), Slovenia. He received his PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University with a dissertation titled “The Intention of the Spirit: Breath, Air, and Voice in Modern European Poetry and Philosophy” and soon to be published by Routledge. He is the co-editor of Philosophy of Breath: A Critical Reader (with Lenart Škof, Bloomsbury 2027). His research lies at the intersection of comparative philosophy and literature, focusing on the history of ideas of breath, air, voice, and atmosphere in poetry and philosophy across European and Japanese traditions.

マヌエラ・サラザル先生
Manuela SALAZAR

Manuela de Mattos Salazar is a Brazilian researcher working at the intersection of media studies, aesthetics, and Atmospheric Studies. She is currently the inaugural Research Fellow at KOIAS, Kobe University, and a Research Associate at the University of Sussex. Her research explores how images, objects, and everyday environments shape the way we feel. Her doctoral project, Cosy Vibes, investigated how social media has transformed cosiness into a shared visual language, showing how carefully arranged domestic scenes can communicate warmth, comfort, and belonging. Bringing together visual culture, philosophy, and everyday experience, her work examines atmospheres not as abstract ideas but as something we encounter in homes, cafés, cities, photographs, and digital media. She is the author of Mundo-Mosaico: a estetização da vida cotidiana no Instagram and is currently developing new research on the idea of "vibe" as a contemporary way of describing shared feelings and atmospheres. Alongside her academic work, she is interested in making research on everyday life accessible to wider audiences through public talks and interdisciplinary collaborations. In 2026, she also serves as a Kobe PR Ambassador, promoting the city through cultural and international exchange initiatives.
